When it comes to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, you are spoilt for choice when experiencing tasty and well-presented food, with something for every member of the family to enjoy. Whether you’re looking to quickly pick up a light snack (in between hopping on and off exciting rides), you have specific dietary requirements, or you’re searching for an evening meal with table service, you can truly find it all here.

Good food is important to us all, and when you’re travelling it can sometimes be challenging to find a restaurant that suits everyone's tastes, and find it in time before the hunger sets in. That’s why Orlando Villa Holidays has rounded up some of the best restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort, so you know all of the delicious options to choose from when visiting one of Florida’s best attractions.

Flame Tree Barbeque - Animal Kingdom

When you’re in America, it’s imperative to experience some classic American food, and where better to start than cuisine that’s been smoked to perfection at Flame Tree Barbecue? Kids will love this colourful venue, transporting you to the Far East, thanks to the dragons and beautiful illustrations displayed on the wall.

Flame Tree Barbeque plates up fantastic fast food, and is a great spot for informal dining for the whole family. Dine al fresco and cool down while feasting on barbequed ribs, pulled pork, or the Smokehouse Chicken Salad, and the kids can sip on mandarin orange lemonade, while you can enjoy an ice cold beer or some Chardonnay.

With half chickens, hot dogs and Salted Caramel Apple Crisp Cupcakes on the menu, you are entirely spoilt for choice. Plus, this restaurant looks out on Expedition Everest’s mighty summit, so you can gaze at the next exciting ride while enjoying a spot of lunch.

‘Ohana - Polynesian Resort

Any Lilo and Stitch fan needs to head to this Hawaiin-themed restaurant, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as after hours drinks, too. Everyone who's seen the famous film will know that ‘ohana’ means family, and this restaurant lives by its name, being a family-friendly dining spot, geared toward those with little ones.

Fast food is always convenient for a quick fix but when you’ve been at Walt Disney World Resort for a few days, you’ll be craving some fresh food. You can find exactly that at ‘Ohana - kids will love the Mickey-shaped waffles and seasonal fruit for breakfast. Then, tucking into the teriyaki noodles for lunch, followed by the bread pudding with caramel sauce and bananas, which will go down a treat.

Ale & Compass Restaurant - Yacht Club Resort

For anyone who adores vegetarian and vegan food, or simply has a dairy allergy, there are lots of delicious dishes you can try at various Walt Disney restaurants, offering sumptuous dishes which go beyond the standard vegetarian options.

Discover The Ale & Compass Restaurant’s Breakfast Protein Bowl, which will fill the hungriest vegan, with its generous portion of scrambled tofu, sweet potato, chard and vegan sausage with a carrot-ginger dressing, as well as a side of chocolate avocado toast - what’s not to love?

For lunch, tuck into the Grilled Vegan Plant-Based Burger, flavoured with caramelised mushrooms and spiced mayonnaise, along with other tasty vegetables, providing the perfect fix before heading out to explore some more exciting attractions.

Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza - Disney Springs

You have to try pizza when in the U.S, and there are plenty of great pizza joints where you can taste this Italian classic with an American twist. Make your own pizza at Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza, or order from their extensive menu, and wash it down with some fresh lemonade.

Try the mouth-watering Red Vine Pizza, comprised of multiple cheeses (including ovalini mozzarella), cherry tomatoes and parmesan with fresh basil. Or, you could even try the Art Lover - a pizza featuring tasty artichokes, a signature red sauce and rich ricotta.

As well as your usual high-rise dough or gluten free base option, the chefs can swap out any cheeses for vegan cheese, so you can style your very own pizza, exactly the way you like it. If anyone in your family wants other dishes beside this American classic, they can always build their own pie, or try Blaze’s salads and exquisite desserts, making this eatery an all round family favourite.

 Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater - Hollywood Studios

If you’re looking for something a little bit out of the ordinary, then this is the restaurant for you. Walt Disney World Resort is great at making any occasion an incredible experience, and dinner is no different. Whether you’re a Sci-Fi fan or not, couples and families will love dining in this restaurant that’s based on old-school American outdoor cinemas, where you can watch a movie and dine in your very own retro car.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant transports you back to the 1950s with a menu to match, so you can savour the Roast Turkey Sandwich, Beef and Blue Burger or the Vegetarian Falafel Burger, with a milkshake on the side. Then, settle down to watch black and white Sci-Fi-B movies with a loved one in your convertible, underneath the ceiling painted with stars - the perfect place for a date.

Families will adore the scrumptious kid’s menu here, too, where fussy eaters can create their own dish, and choose from macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders, cheeseburgers, and so much more.
